Digital Making —— Torus

Torus

This task we need to make a torus shape with 2 mm aluminian sheet, so first I put it onto the mould and hit the central of the sheet to make a curve shape.




After the entral curve shape has been made, and I use the matel hammer to smooth the edge and make the edge of two side to become curve to the other side.

After shaping the torus, the last thing I done is sanding, I try to sand the torus in way way to make the torus smooth and polish.

Parallel Projection2

The parallel projection here combined DL: Light and directionality & HS: Centripetal and Centrifugal. And the two sections make a beautiful combination, the relationship between the positive and negative space is exactly well. I think the two sections are  the most similar  concepts of Daniel and Hans, they make a same language.
