Tray This task I need to make a tray with my partner, the first thing I do is making a two pieces of mould, and I want to clamp the aluminian sheet and hammer the edge of the sheet to fold. I cut a 110mm x 110mm aluminian sheet which included 10 mm for the side of the tray. After shaped the trays out, we check if the two tray can perfectly close together, if not, then I need to sand the edge to be flat or cut a bit of it.

Torus This task we need to make a torus shape with 2 mm aluminian sheet, so first I put it onto the mould and hit the central of the sheet to make a curve shape. After the entral curve shape has been made, and I use the matel hammer to smooth the edge and make the edge of two side to become curve to the other side. After shaping the torus, the last thing I done is sanding, I try to sand the torus in way way to make the torus smooth and polish.

Bowl After we finished the introduction of the Fab lab, I know how to use the most of the machines. The first task for us is using the aluminian sheet to make a bowl. Before we hit the aluminian we need to mark two circles and focus the area between the two circles, and using the hammer keep hitting the sheet which on the top of the mould to make the curve shape. Do not hit the aluminian over power, be patience and make the shape perfectly. After I made the bowl shape, I put it on the sandbag and use the back of the hammer to smooth the uneven area in the central. Then I use the English wheel to make the shape smooth and creating a polish effect.
